  • Dragon Boat Race and Asian Festival - Save the date for the Annual Charlotte Dragon Boat Race & Asian Festival in May. This festival, held at Ramsey Creek Park, celebrates many Asian cultures, diversity, ethnicity, and history. Visitors can enjoy a cultural heritage showcase, retail vendors, live music, dance performances, traditional meals, and exciting dragon boat races.

Carolina Raptor Center - Visit the Carolina Raptor Center, attend one of its events, and view the remarkable raptors that make this center famous. The center is open seasonally, beginning in March.

  • Quest - This is a fun and interactive nature experience in Latta Nature Preserve. Quest features its own raptor center, an indoor exhibit hall, and self-guided activities.
  • Parks - There are a myriad of parks to explore near Lake Norman. Lake Norman State Park, Ramsey Creek Park, Parham Park, and Jetton Park are just a few.

  • Davidson Farmers Market - The Davidson Farmers Market is in full swing starting in the spring. Shop a variety of vendors, from hand-made crafts to local produce, every Saturday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
  • Breweries & Wineries - Say “yes” to outdoor seating and sipping local beer or wine. King Canary Brewing Co. and Davesté Vineyards are just two for you to choose from.
