You are on vacation! You shouldn’t be doing chores!
Here are our checkout instructions. If you have the time and inclination, then wonderful! If not, we won’t hold it against you.
- Load the dishwasher and hit start before you leave (if you have the time and feel like doing it).
- Leave all used beds unmade (in other words, don't make your bed!).
- Leave all dirty towels in the bathroom (or wherever they are currently laying).
- Remove all food items from the refrigerator, freezer and pantry. Anything you are not taking with you can be thrown in the garbage or recycling (this helps our cleaning crew immensely).
- Put all trash and recycling into the cans (again, if you have the time and feel like it).
- Return all lake toys, kayaks, etc. to their appropriate place on the rack, in the deck box or in the shed (this also helps a ton!).
- Return any indoor/outdoor furniture to their original location (most likely you didn't move anything, so don't worry about this one).
- If the home has a sofa bed and it was used, please leave it open and unmade (surprisingly saves us a lot of time too!).
Yes we do. Click here to see the details.
Absolutely!! Many of our guests bring their pups along on their vacation. Depending on the home, we allow up to 3 dogs. There are no size or breed restrictions. We love them all the same! We do ask that your pets be fully housetrained and that they do not use pee pads inside the home. We also ask that they be well trained enough to not chew on any furniture or carpets.
We charge a flat $150 per pet for the entire stay. We ask that you clean up all pet waste from the yard. A pooper scooper and pet waste bags are provided at each home. Additional cleanup fees may be charged if pet waste is found on the property.
Please note that cats are currently not permitted.

General FAQ
Our landscape crew visits each property weekly. During your stay, it is possible that our landscaping crew will come by the house for weekly maintenance. They will mow, blow, weed as needed. We appreciate your understanding as we try to maintain our grounds for our guests' enjoyment.
Our maintenance crew will come and take the trash and/or recycling to the street. They will bring the empty cans back to the house the following day. In your welcome email, we will let you know what days those will be.
If we need to get into the house for any repairs, we will contact you ahead of time. We will never enter the home unannounced.
We perform regular cleaning and pest control on the homes. Being on the lake, bugs and spider/spider webs are inevitable. We do our best to keep the outdoor spaces clean and clear of these bugs and webs. If you find a nest or webs that are troublesome, please contact us and we will take care of it as soon as possible.
The peak of pollen season in North Carolina is March through May. We do our best to keep walkways, porches, patios and decks clean; however we cannot guarantee that pollen will not be present during your stay.
Yes you can! All of our homes have enough space in the driveway to park your boat or trailer. Please be sure to have it fully pulled into the driveway as some streets do not allow trailers to be parked on the street. If you have questions about bringing your boat, please reach out as we are happy to assist.
Absolutely! Every house has a private dock. Some homes have deep water all year round and some get slightly shallow in the off season as the lake level drops. Please reach out for specifics, especially if your boat has a deep hull.
There are also options for renting a boat during your stay at the lake. Most boat rental companies will deliver the boat right to the private dock.
Each home has a different launch location. Some have private launches. For some Mooresville locations we recommend Inland Sea Marina in Mooresville. For other Mooresville locations as well as Terrell and Sherrills Ford, we recommend the McCrary Creek Access Area and Pinnacle Access Area, both in Mooresville.
We do not allow parties or events to be held at any of our homes. All of the homes have a nightly maximum occupancy as well as a daytime maximum occupancy.
